An autobiographical performance, Trapped in Seven deals with two stages in Simpson's own life -- as a seven year old girl and as an adult woman with a seven year old daughter. The latter is now faced with explaining her own HIV status to her child.

Simpson has been the Artistic Director of Fay Simpson Dance Theatre since 1990 for whom she has choreographed The Marital Bliss of Francis and Maxine, D-Train and Research and Development. She is a recipient of the Fox Foundation Fellowship.

Karl Francke and Daniel Smith have provided the original music with choreography by Patrice Regnier.

Tickets are $12 and available by calling (212) 228-2700. The Acting Studio is located at 29 East 19th Street, between Park and Broadway. -- By Christine Ehren
