SAN DIEGO -- I Stand Before You Naked, a play by the famed American novelist Joyce Carol Oates, ends its scheduled run Nov. 17. The show opened Nov. 4 at the Fritz Theatre for a 3-week run.

Simone Patrice Edwards directs an all-female cast of Amy Hunter, Abby Jordan, Katie Harper, Maria Digosia, Libby Graham, Susan Kaye, Desirea Ortega, Jennine Morton and Heather Dorman.

Oates' play "takes you on a journey through pain and desperation of desire and isolation" culminating ultimately in "inner strength and peace," said a company spokesperson.

The Fritz is also mounting On the Map, a mainstage production of original works by San Diego-based playwrights: Blur, by Melanie Marnich and Strange World by Karin Williams. They will be presented in repertory format Oct. 29-Nov. 29 at 420 Third Ave.
