Billed as a "comic melodrama...about love, lingerie and chocolate chips," Stephen Schulman's new play, Let's Eat Cookie Dough, finishes its world premiere, Nov. 20, at off-off-Broadway's Producer's Club. The show, which began previews Nov. 2 and officially opened Nov. 3, tells of six characters making a living the best way they can -- and discovering partners the oddest ways possible.

For example, one is a stripper, who embarks on a lesbian affair with her co-worker, whose best friend starts dating his plastic surgeon. Meanwhile Carter, a baker, cheats on his girlfriend -- the plastic surgeon's assistant -- and moonlights as a bouncer in the aforementioned strip club.

Jason Scott, producer of the piece, told Playbill On-Line, "I read the script, fell in love with it and would really like to see it get done. We're inviting producers as well as the film world to come take a look."

Featured in Cookie Dough are Kathryn Elizabeth, Evan Greenberg, Karen Wooley, Erica Jensen, Dan Zitelli and Jeffrey Adamsky.

Schulman directs his own play at the Producer's Club, 358 West 44th Street. For tickets ($12) and information on Let's Eat Cookie Dough, produced by Scott for SASi [sic] Productions, call (212) 532-8887. -- By David Lefkowitz
