The VagaBOND (sic) Theatre Company of New York will conclude its revival of Richard Greenberg's The Extra Man Dec. 20 at Theatre Row's Samuel Beckett Theatre (410 W. 42nd St.). The show began performances Dec. 3 and officially opened Dec. 7.

The Extra Man concerns Keith, a writer with spurious intentions and too much time on his hands, who constructs a disastrous love triangle among his friends. The original production, at Manhattan Theatre Club, starred Laila Robins, Adam Arkin, John Slattery and Boyd Gaines.

Kent Paul directs the VagaBOND revival. Glynnis O'Connor, Michael Janes, Charles Clough and Ernie Dunn star.

O'Connor may be familiar to film viewers. She achieved fame in the early '70s starring in such teen flicks as "Ode to Billy Joe" and "Jeremy," often opposite Robby Benson. Later on, she appeared in "Those Lips, Those Eyes," opposite Frank Langella and Tom Hulce. She may be best known, however, for her role in the television movie "The Boy in the Plastic Bubble" starring John Travolta. She has rarely taken roles on the stage.
