Concluding March 9

Clive (Off-Broadway at The New Group at Theatre Row). The New Group's production of Jonathan Marc Sherman's Clive, about a songwriter living in New York City in the '90s, stars Ethan Hawke with Brooks Ashmanskas, Vincent D'Onofrio, Zoe Kazan, Stephanie Janssen, Mahira Kakkar, Aaron Krohn, Dana Lyn and playwright Sherman. Inspired by Bertolt Brecht's inflammatory play Baal, Clive, according to press notes, "tracks a dissipated songwriter in 1990s New York City from the hedonistic heights of seduction and consumption into an ecstasy of self-destruction." From White Plains (Off-Broadway at the Pershing Square Signature Center). Michael Perlman's IT Award-nominated drama From White Plains, which explores the lives of four adult men who grapple with the effects of teen bullying, features Craig Wesley Divino, Aaron Rossini, Jimmy King and Karl Gregory. According to the creators, "After a shocking announcement on international television, 30 year old Ethan Rice finds himself finally having to confront who he was and what he did as a teenager... From White Plains follows four men, both straight and gay, as they attempt to take responsibility for past actions and move beyond it, aided and complicated by social media and viral videos. The play examines how male relationships change as boys grow into men and asks who gets to speak for a victim of bullying when he is no longer here to speak for himself?" Visit TicketCentral.com.

Concluding March 10

The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Broadway at Studio 54). The acclaimed Broadway revival of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood stars Stephanie J. Block in the title role with Will Chase, Jim Norton, Chita Rivera and Erin Davie. "Who killed Edwin Drood?" Roundabout asks. "It's a question that has stumped audiences for years — now it's your turn to answer one of Broadway's most baffling mysteries. Take a trip back in time to a Victorian music hall where a rowdy ensemble of actors mounts a staging of Charles Dickens' unfinished novel. Everyone on stage is a suspect in the murder of young Edwin Drood — and it's up to you to choose the killer! Is it John Jasper, Edwin's protective but slightly maniacal uncle? Rosa Bud, his reluctant betrothed? The debauched Princess Puffer? Each performance ends differently, depending on what the audience decides!" Visit RoundaboutTheatre.org.
