Concluding July 26 Of Good Stock (Off-Broadway at New York City Center — Stage 1). Manhattan Theatre Club's New York premiere of Melissa Ross' Of Good Stock stars Alicia Silverstone under the direction of MTC artistic director Lynne Meadow. The cast also features Kelly AuCoin, Greg Keller, Heather Lind, Nate Miller and Jennifer Mudge. Silverstone, Lind and Mudge play the three Stockon sisters, who, according to press notes, are "witty, brilliant, beautiful – and a total mess, thanks to the legacy of their complicated novelist father." Sayonara (Off-Broadway at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre). Pan Asian Repertory Theatre presents Sayonara, a new musical adaptation of James A. Michener's 1950s novel. According to Pan Asian Pet, "Lloyd 'Ace' Gruver, a US military fighter pilot stationed in post-WWII Japan, is beginning to question his military destiny. When he falls in love with the beautiful Hana-Ogi, a star performer in the Takarazuka dance troupe, compassion and love heal prejudice despite the inevitable collision of two disparate worlds." The cast includes Ya Han Chang, Morgan McCann, Ako, Thomas Bevan, Natsuko Hirano, Justin R G Holcomb, Scott Klavan, Justin McEllroy, Rumi Oyama, Jennifer Piacenti, Edward Tolve, Sandy York, Carol Angeli, Yurina Kutsukake, Azumi Milligan, Michiko Sasaki, Alicia Kaori Shumway and Jessica Wu.
