Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Richard Greenberg’s The Babylon Line, directed by Steppenwolf co-founder Terry Kinney, will arrive Off-Broadway in the fall. The cast will feature Maddie Corman, Randy Graff, Julie Halston, Michael Oberholtzer, Josh Radnor, Elizabeth Reaser and Frank Wood.

Set in 1967, Radnor will star as a Greenwich Village bohemian and writer who forms a special connection with one of his students, to be played by Reaser. Performances are slated to begin November 10 in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, with an opening night set for December 5.

Here’s how LCT bills the new play: “It’s 1967. A writer from bohemian Greenwich Village (to be played by Josh Radnor) commutes to Levittown to teach a creative writing class. His students discover the power of storytelling to alter their lives, and one special student—a kindred spirit? something more?—re-awakens his own artistic impulses.”

Greenberg is the Tony-winning playwright of Take Me Out. His works also include Our Mother’s Brief Affair, The Assembled Parties, The Violet Hour, The Dazzle, Three Days of Rain, The American Plan and others.

The Babylon Line will have sets by Richard Hoover, costumes by Sarah J. Holden, lighting by David Weiner, and sound by Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen.
