News Lea DeLaria Featured on Out, Loud & Funny; Halston Moderates On the Town's Lea DeLaria is one of the many artists featured in an upcoming television special presented by "Theater Talk," the PBS chat show that features interviews with top theatre writers and performers.

Entitled "Out, Loud & Funny, a Celebration of Lesbian & Gay Humor," the program will air on WNET/Thirteen Friday, July 8 at 12:30 AM ET. The panel for the program includes DeLaria as well as Kate Clinton, Flotilla DeBarge, Frank DeCaro, Judy Gold, Murray Hill, Reno and Bob Smith. Theatre veteran Julie Halston moderates the program. Lea DeLaria received an Obie and a Theater World Award for her work in the Public Theater's revival of On the Town. She also starred in the Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show and the City Center Encores! presentation of Li'l Abner. Her other theatrical credits include Cinderella, Little Fish, Chicago, The Boys From Syracuse, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told and As You Like It. An acclaimed stand up comic, DeLaria is also an accomplished jazz singer, and her solo recordings include "Play It Cool" and "Double Standards."

Julie Halston's New York theatrical credits include roles in Hairspray, White Chocolate, Gypsy, The Butter and Egg Man, The Vagina Monologues, The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told and Red Scare on Sunset. She received a Drama Desk nomination for her work in Red Scare. Also a stand-up comedian, Halston played Bitsy Von Muffling in HBO-TV's "Sex and the City."
