News Lea Michele to Publish Memoir-Style Guide "Brunette Ambition" in 2014 "Glee" and Spring Awakening star Lea Michele has signed a book deal with Harmony Books, an imprint of the Crown Publishing Group at Random House, to publish her memoir "Brunette Ambition," which is slated for release in spring 2014.

The book will be part memoir, part how-to and part style-guide, according to the publisher. Fans can expect a spring 2014 print and digital publication.

"There wasn't a guidebook when I was growing up, that detailed everything I would need to do, and know, to get where I am today," Michele said in a statement. "But I believe I can write one of sorts: not a how-to-make-it-in-show-business book, but a guide to harnessing tenacity, passion, enthusiasm, and hard work to make your dreams come true."

According to Harmony Books, "'Brunette Ambition' will take readers through Michele's journey from normal Bronx-born schoolgirl to Broadway child star to lead actress in one of the most popular shows on television. With a personal and intimate, behind-the-scenes perspective, including never-before-seen photos, she will tell how she got to where she is, how she has taken care of herself along the way, and how girls growing up can do it too, revealing the practical advice and lessons she's learned, from beauty and fashion secrets to fitness tips and career insights."

Michele made her Broadway debut as Young Cosette in the original run of Les Misérables. She returned to Broadway to play The Little Girl in the original 1998 cast of Ragtime and to play Shprintze in the 2004 revival of Fiddler on the Roof. Michele originated the role of Wendla in the groundbreaking musical Spring Awakening Off-Broadway at the Atlantic Theater Company and on Broadway in 2006.

She created the role of Rachel Berry on the hit Fox musical series "Glee," which debuted in 2009. Currently she is voicing the lead role for an animated 3D musical "Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return," set for release May 2, 2014.
