In a statement, the League reports it has “assembled the creative and technical team” for the first NBTA. League president Jed Bernstein will be the executive producer, David Richards and Tamar Climan of Richard/Climan are general managers, musical director is Michael Dansicker, scriptwriting and special lyrics will be done by Doug Bernstein and Denis Markell, with Christopher Cohen producing the video portion.”

The NBTA “will also bestow honorary awards for outstanding accomplishments in marketing, presenter management, lifetime achievement and community service,” according to a League statement.

Harris Interactive, the well-known Harris Poll and Presidential polling company, will work with the League to “create the first national fan driven theatre awards conducted in cyberspace,” according to a separate statement. Harris has done “both official and fan ballots for the US Olympic Spirit Awards (for athletes) the Horizon Awards (for building the future of the sports and entertainment industry) and the Wooden Award (for college basketball).”
