Leap of Faith, based on the film comedy about a flim-flam preacher who comes to a small town, stars four-time Tony Award nominee Raúl Esparza. It begins previews April 3 and will open on April 26.

The musical, with book by Warren Leight and Janus Cercone, has music by Academy Award winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid, Sister Act).

Leap of Faith features Jessica Phillips, Kendra Kassebaum, Kecia Lewis-Evans, Leslie Odom, Jr., Krystal Joy Brown and Talon Ackerman.

Here's how producers bill the musical: "When his traveling ministry breaks down in a small Kansas town, part-time reverend and full-time con artist Jonas Nightingale (Esparza) quickly pitches a tent and invites the locals to a revival. As he cons the crowds and trades miracles for money, he'll have to face a woman determined to stop him, a boy who puts his faith to the test, and maybe even his own redemption."

Leap of Faith is directed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Ashley (Memphis), with choreography by Sergio Trujillo (Next to Normal, Jersey Boys, The Addams Family).

The normal ticket price range is $47-$137.

From April 3-25, the performance schedule is Monday-Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM.

Beginning April 27, the performance schedule is Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday at 2 PM and 8 PM, Thursday at 7 PM, Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM, Sunday at 3 PM.
