News Legally Blonde to Perform on "The Today Show" The cast of the new Broadway musical Legally Blonde will perform two numbers on NBC's "The Today Show" April 27.

The first number will be "What You Want," Elle Woods' musical essay for Harvard Law School, performed towards the end of the 8 AM to 9 AM hour. The second number, performed some time after 9 AM, will be "Bend and Snap," in which Woods (Laura Bell Bundy) teaches Paulette (Orfeh) how to get the man of her dreams to notice her.

Legally Blonde, based on the Amanda Brown novel and the 2001 MGM film starring Reese Witherspoon, began previews April 3 and opens April 29 at the Palace Theatre on Broadway.

Jerry Mitchell is making his Broadway directorial debut and also serves as choreographer. The musical has music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach.

The cast includes Laura Bell Bundy as Elle Woods, Christian Borle as Emmett, Orfeh as Paulette, Richard H. Blake as Warner, Kate Shindle as Vivienne, Nikki Snelson as Brooke and Michael Rupert as Professor Callahan. Also featured in the cast are Annaleigh Ashford, April Berry, Paul Canaan, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Beth Curry, Tracy Jai Edwards, Amber Efe, Gaelen Gilliland, Jason Gillman, Becky Gulsvig, Rod Harrelson, Manuel Herrera, Natalie Joy Johnson, Andy Karl, Nick Kenkel, Michelle Kittrell, Leslie Kritzer, Dequina Moore, Rusty Mowery, Kevin Pariseau, Matthew Risch, Jason Patrick Sands, Noah Weisberg, Kate Wetherhead.
