News Legg, Steedle, Wernke Will Go Barefoot in the Park for Two River Theater Company Two River Theater Company's production of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park begins performances Feb. 9, with an official opening set for Feb. 13.

Directed by Robert M. Rechnitz, founder and executive producer of New Jersey's Two River, Barefoot in the Park features Demetrios Bonaros as the Telephone Man, Christopher Coucill (Broadway's Annie Get Your Gun, Kiss Me Kate and The Graduate) as Victor Velasco, Dori Legg (Off-Broadway's Shaving The Pickle) as Ethel, Paul Nixon and Gary Powell as the Delivery Men, Meg Chambers Steedle (Two River's A Year with Frog and Toad) as Corrie Bratter and John Wernke (Manhattan Theatre Club's The Royal Family) as Paul Bratter. Barefoot in the Park features scenic and costume design by Marion Williams, lighting design by F. Mitchell Dana and sound design by Karin Graybash.

Director Rechnitz said in a statement, "When I founded the theatre 16 years ago, it was with the intent to produce 'serious' theatre — that is, plays of significance and import — be they the great tragedies, dramas and comedies. Barefoot in the Park is just one of those plays. In its structure and form, it is incredibly 'serious.'"
