Leigh Silverman directs the reading of Bob at New York Stage and Film.

Performances are July 12-14 at the Shiva Theater. The work is directed by Leigh Silverman, who directed the recent Broadway production of Lisa Kron's Well. Featured in the cast are Shannon Burkett, Ian Gomez, Robert Hogen, Deborah Rush and Trevor Oswalt.

The play is described thusly: "An all too common man, all too tempted by a dynamic underage girl, strays from his lover, the woman sheriff of the very small town where they all live. In this comedy/drama of intrigue, betrayal, stupidity and not so common sense, Anton Dudley takes a clear-eyed look at the human spirit in all its frail glory."

Dudley is the author of Honor and the River, a play which was featured in the 2004 Summer Play Festival in New York City.

Bob is part of NYS&F's "Inside Look!" program. The other play to be staged for "Inside Look!" is Erin Courtney's Quiver and Twitch, directed by Sarah Benson, and starring Kevin Augustine, Francois Battiste, Gibson Frazier, Peter Maloney and Jennifer R. Morris. Dates are July 21-23.
