News Les Miz Gets Revolutionized: A First Look at Musical Highlights from Contemporary Dallas Production (Video) Director Liesl Tommy has staged a new, modern-dress, immersive production of the hit international musical Les Misérables, which officially opened July 4 at the Dallas Theater Center after previews that began June 27.

A host of Broadway actors, including Nehal Joshi as Jean Valjean and Justin Keyes as Marius, are part of the multi-racial contemporary staging that has been generating buzz with its immersive setting that makes use of the Wyly Theater's dynamic, flexible environment. Performances continue through Aug. 17.

The musical is penned by Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Herbert Kretzmer.

The cast also includes Allison Blackwell as Fantine; Edward Watts as Javert; John Campione as Enjolras; Dorcas Leung as Cossette; Elizabeth Judd as Eponine; Christia Mantzke as Madame Thenardier; Hassan El-Amin as the Bishop; Steven Michael Walters as Thenardier; as well as Daniel Duque-Estrada, Alex Organ, Christie Vela, Kyle Anderson, Feleceia Benton, Jonathan Bragg, Christopher Deaton, Lillian De Leon, Traci Lee, Laura Lites, Morgan Mason, Brandon Nase, Seth Womack, Mark Hancock, Spencer Sloan, Jemma Kosane, Lama Salinas, Abby Chapman and Libby Roy.
