PlayBlog Let's Hear it For the Girl: Footloose Veteran Stacy Francis Performs on "X Factor" (Video) Stacy Francis, who was seen on Broadway as Rusty in the 1998 production of Footloose, tried her luck out in Los Angeles, auditioning for Simon Cowell and the panel of judges on the Fox reality series "The X Factor." Francis not only won over the judges with her performance of "Natural Woman," but the whole audience as well.


Francis has also been seen on Broadway in Street Corner Symphony and Smokey Joe's Café. After her stint in New York City, she decided to take a different route in her performance career and headed to LA. However, the performer couldn't seem to catch her big break—until now, receiving a standing ovation after her "X Factor" audition.

"The X Factor" is a singing competition that is searching for undiscovered talent 12 years old or over – both solo artists and vocal groups – who are willing to brave the panel for a chance to win a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.
