LOS ANGELES -- Levels, a new play by Laurel M. Wetzork which explores the perpetration of violence against women, will have its world premiere Aug. 9 at the Bitter Truth Theatre in N. Hollywood.
"The characters include teens and adults, and straight and lesbian couples. They bear some resemblance to people that those in the audience might actually have met," said a company spokesperson. "Levels is educational and is meant to teach. It also offers a vision of hope."
Produced by Theatre of Hope for Abused Women, Levels is directed by David Bilotti. The cast includes Beatrice Ruda, Jan James, Scott Crawford, Jay Galle, Jeannie Hudak, Kelly Austen, Courtney Kraus and Vicki Ross.
Every Sunday (except September 6) through Sept. 27 at The Bitter Truth Theatre, 11050 Magnolia Blvd. Admission is $8. Call (818) 766-9702.
