News Life in a Marital Institution Will Tour, With Meredith Vieira Producing NPR contributor James Braly's Off-Broadway solo show Life in a Marital Institution will go on a national tour produced by Meredith Vieira Productions, Variety reported.

The producing company helmed by the TV news and entertainment personality known for her work on "Today" and "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" also optioned the play for film and TV. Writer-actor Braly's monologue, directed by Hal Brooks (No Child…, Thom Paine), premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe, played Off-Broadway's 59E59 Theaters and then moved to Off Broadway's Soho Playhouse in 2008.

The play — subtitled 20 Years of Monogamy in One Terrifying Hour — explores the contours of Braly's 20 years of marriage.
