Paul O'Grady/Lily Savage is to appear in hit musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where he will take over the role of the Child Catcher from Richard O'Brien (creator of The Rocky Horror Show).
O'Grady, who suffered a heart attack earlier this year but has bounced back and seems fit again. He will play the sinister, black-suited role (the scariest thing in the whole musical) from Sept. 16 to Dec. 7.
O'Grady has appeared on stage before, and in roles other than that of Lily Savage. He has played in Annie and a musical version of cult television series "Prisoner Cell Block H."
His presence at the Dominion will be followed by many of his legion of fans, though they'll have to book their tickets soon as Chitty is one of the best-selling shows in the West End. —by Theatrenow
