News Lin-Manuel Miranda, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty Discuss Writing Ensemble Numbers Mo Brady (The Addams Family, "Smash") and Nikka Graff Lanzarone (Chicago, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) have released the 34th episode of "The Ensemblist" — a podcast featuring Broadway backstage stories — entitled "Writing for Ensemblists."

"The Ensemblist," according to press notes, "is an inside look at the experience of being a Broadway performer — from the first rehearsal through performing eight shows a week and beyond. Whether you're an experienced theatre professional or just a passionate fan, 'The Ensemblist' gives listeners the opportunity to get to know new performers and the great work they do onstage, while also shedding light on some of the hidden innerworkings of Broadway."

The "Writing for Ensemblists" episode features Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Rocky, Once On This Island, A Man of No Importance) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights, Hamilton), who explain how they wrote some of the most memorable ensemble numbers of the past couple of decades.

According to press notes, "They discuss their inspirations, their support team, how they think of ensembles and ensemblists during the creation process, and what they look for when putting together an ensemble."
