News Lin-Manuel Miranda Planning Yet Another New Film for Disney Add it to Moana, Little Mermaid, and Mary Poppins Returns.

Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is working on another new animated film project for Disney, according to a report in Vulture.

He is collaborating with Byron Howard, co-director of the hit Zootopia, on an original new animated film. The title and subject were not reported.

Miranda wrote songs for Disney’s Moana, which opens November 23. He’s also writing some new songs for Disney’s forthcoming live-action The Little Mermaid, and he also has an acting role in the company’s Mary Poppins Returns opposite Emily Blunt, which is shooting in the U.K.

“That's the fun thing about working with someone and having it go well—you go, ‘Okay, what else can we do?‘” Miranda told Vulture. “[Disney chief creative officer John] Lasseter took me aside and said, ’I have an idea: Here's Byron, and you guys should start talking.’”

Miranda warned that the film might not be completed for years. "We literally haven't gotten in the room yet," he said, "but we're plotting."
