News Lincoln Center Education Launches "Next Stage" Discussion Series With Jack O'Brien Lincoln Center Education has announced "Next Stage," a discussion series focusing on arts and education.

Aimed at early- to mid-career artists in the fields of theatre, dance, music and visual arts, "Next Stage" will continue on a yearly basis, featuring artists moderating and speaking at the events.

"Since we launched the new mission of Lincoln Center Education late last year, we have explored new avenues to connect with artists and educators," Russell Granet, executive director of Lincoln Center Education, said in a statement. "Beyond our work in schools, community organizations and with teaching artists, we are looking at ways to enrich and educate working artists, to demonstrate the power of the arts in all facets of their work. Our new 'Next Stage' discussion series is specifically focused on budding artists, and providing first-hand, successful examples of how established artists and icons have incorporated arts education, with its challenges and rewards, into a well-rounded career."

The schedule follows:

March 13: Theatre
An Evening with Jack O'Brien
Moderator: Jed Bernstein, President of Lincoln Center
Partner: Lincoln Center Theater (Kati Koerner, Director of Education)

May 2: Dance
Moderator: Virginia Johnson, Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem
Partner: Dance/NYC (Lane Harwell, Executive Director) May 30: Music
Moderator: Midori, violinist
Partner: New York Philharmonic (Theodore Wiprud, Vice President, Education)

June 10: Visual Arts
Moderator: Andrew Goldstein, Editor-in-Chief of Artspace

All events in the series will take place at 6 PM in the Clark Studio Theater, located on the seventh floor of the Samuel B. and David Rose Building at Lincoln Center, 65th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.

Tickets for Lincoln Center Education's "Next Stage" series are $10 and available for purchase at lincolncenter.org/nextstage, (212) 721-6500, and at the Avery Fisher Hall Box Office, Broadway and 65th Street.
