Classic Arts News Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra to Tour in South America and the U.K. The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra will tour South America in June and the United Kingdom in the fall, Jazz at Lincoln Center announced yesterday.
The June tour starts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and features the orchestra, with trumpeter and music director Wynton Marsalis, playing selections by jazz masters and, in Buenos Aires only, Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite played with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires. Other tour dates are in Uruguay, Brazil, and Venezuela.

At the end of September, the orchestra begins a U.K. tour performing Marsalis's All Rise with Kurt Masur and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

June 14-15: Teatro Col‹n, Buenos Aires, Argentina
June 16: Cine Teatro Plaza, Monetvideo, Uruguay
June 17: Teatro do Sesi, Porto Alegre, Brazil
June 19: Parque Ibirapuera, Sê£o Paolo, Brazil
June 20-21: Sala Sê£o Paolo, Sê£o Paolo, Brazil
June 24-25: Teatro Teresa Carreno, Caracas, Venezuela

September 30: Symphony Hall, Birmingham, England
October 1: St. David's Hall, Cardiff, Wales
October 2: Royal Albert Hall, London, England
October 4: Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, England
October 5: Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, Scotland
