Off-Broadway News Lincoln Center Theater Appoints Kaaron Briscoe Associate Artistic Director of LCT3

The Tallahassee playwright will work with LCT3 Artistic Director Evan Cabnet on programming and developing new plays and musicals for the Claire Tow Theater.

Lincoln Center Theater has appointed playwright, actor, and director Kaaron Briscoe associate artistic director of LCT3, LCT's Off-Broadway arm focused on the programming and development of new plays and musicals at the Claire Tow Theater. Briscoe will work alongside LCT3 Artistic Director Evan Cabnet.

Briscoe, a New Orleans native, comes to LCT3 after working as a director at a variety of organizations around NYC and Minnesota's Playwright's Center. She is a 2015 fellow of Target Margin Theater's institute and a member of the 52nd Street Project.

As a playwright, Briscoe's work has been produced by Project Y, Classical Theater of Harlem, Inviolet Theater, and others. Her Tallahassee was a semi-finalist for the O'Neill Playwright's Conference.

LCT3 is currently presenting Bryna Turner's At the Wedding, which is set to open March 21 at the Tow.
