Linda Eder Live Album Now Available | Playbill

News Linda Eder Live Album Now Available Linda Eder, who won a Theatre World Award in 1997 for her Broadway debut in Jekyll & Hyde, has released her first live album, which was recorded June 21 in Saratoga Springs, NY.

"Linda LIVE" was recorded at the Arthur Zankel Music Center at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs.

The CD, according to press notes, "takes listeners on a journey through singer Linda Eder’s career starting with her early beginnings singing in her family’s restaurant (I’m Not Lisa) and her high school theatrical production Sound of Music (Climb Ev’ry Mountain) to her first professional night club engagements (Fernando) and her 12 week undefeated run on TV’s 'Star Search' (Ice Castles, I Dreamed a Dream).

"She has chosen songs that are important in her career for a variety of reasons – inspiration (Don’t Cry for Me Argentina), humorous stage moments (Sam, you made the Pants too Long) and woven these stories and songs in with the hits fans have come to love (Someone Like You, Vienna, Man of La Mancha)."

The 16-track recording also includes a "New Oldies" medley, featuring seven Eder fan favorites.
