Classic Arts News Lineup Announced for 'Stars of the 21st Century' Ballet Gala in New York The ballet gala "Stars of the 21st Centrury" will return to New York State Theater on February 13, organizers announced.
The gala, created by Solomon Tencer and his wife, Nadia Neselova Tencer, has been presented since 1996 in New York, Paris, Cannes, and Toronto.

The evening will include performances by Irina Dvorovenko and Maxim Beloserkovsky of American Ballet Theatre; Svetlana Lunkina and Sergei Filin of the Bolshoi Ballet; Desmond Richardson of Complexions Contemporary Ballet; Andrian Fadeyev of the Kirov Ballet; Lucia Lacarra and Cyril Pierre of Munich Ballet; Sofiane Sylve of New York City Ballet; and Mathilde Froustey and Emmanuel Thibault of Paris Opera Ballet.

In addition to the procession of ballet stars, the performance will include an appearance by Pilar Alvarez and Claudio Hoffmann of Tango Metropolis Argentina.

Repertoire includes dances by George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, Pierre Lacotte, John Neumeier, Jerome Robbins, Dwight Rhoden, and others.
