Lisa Howard Is the Latest to Join Wunderkind at NYMF | Playbill

News Lisa Howard Is the Latest to Join Wunderkind at NYMF Drama Desk winner Lisa Howard, who can currently be seen in the Broadway production of It Shoulda Been You, joins the New York Musical Theatre Festival line-up this weekend. Howard will be a guest performer in Tim Realbuto's autobiographical piece, Wunderkind, joining a host of other Broadway vets.

Realbuto's show, which has been previously performed around the country and locally at Joe's Pub and 54 Below, will play for one-night-only at NYMF, on July 26 at Theater 3. Proceeds will go towards Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Trevor Project.

Wunderkind tells the real-life story of his earlier days as a child "star" and growing up in show business. It is performed as a solo show featuring guest appearances, such as Howard's, portraying characters from his life.

Howard's Broadway credits include The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, South Pacific, 9 to 5 and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Other actors slated to feature in the show include Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde) and Adena Walker (The Baker's Wife), among many others. Christina Bianco, well-known on Youtube for her talented impersonations, will also provide additional voices, specially recorded for the show.

Wunderkind is directed and choreographed by Michael Kidney with musical direction by Andrew Wheeler. The production stage manager/lighting designer is Abby Judd. To purchase tickets visit NYMF. Theater 3 is located at 311 W. 43rd Street, Manhattan.
