Six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald joined Tony nominee and opera superstar Renée Fleming for Carnegie Hall's opening night gala October 3. The entire concert is available to stream from New York Public Radio's WQXR. Listen below:

The evening of classical, opera, and musical theatre music included selections from Porgy and Bess, The Light in the Piazza, Into the Woods, South Pacific, and She Loves Me.

McDonald, a six-time Tony winner with an active concert calendar, was last seen on Broadway in Shuffle Along, or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed. She won Tony Awards for her performances in Carousel, Master Class, Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun, Porgy and Bess, and, most recently, Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill.

Fleming made her Broadway musical debut in the 2018 revival of Carousel, receiving a Tony nomination for her performance as Nettie Fowler. She also appeared in the 2015 play Living On Love. In Fleming's prolific opera career, her signature roles have included Countess Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro, Violetta in La Traviata, the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier, and the title role in Rusalka.
