News Listen to New Lestat Song — For a Good Cause Amazon.com is offering musical fans a first listen to a new Elton John-Bernie Taupin song from the upcoming musical, Lestat, in an effort to help U.S. hurricane victims.

The "Amazon.com A-List For Hurricane Relief" project is a partnership between Amazon.com and more than a dozen celebrities and dignitaries to raise awareness and funds for non-profit organizations helping victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita over the holiday season.

To show gratitude for donations to these efforts, Elton John "invites customers to enjoy a sneak preview of a song titled 'Make Me As You Are' that he and longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin wrote for the new musical Lestat…"

Before beginning performances on Broadway at New York City's Palace Theater on March 11, 2006, Lestat will premiere at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco Dec. 17 through Jan. 29, 2006.

Listeners of the special content, heard Dec. 7-21 on Amazon.com, can also donate to hurricane relief. A selection of content is available.
