News Little Dog Laughed Composer Flinn Pens Like Love for NYMF Danielle Ferland, who pined for her glasses and cape in the original Broadway productions of Sunday in the Park with George and Into the Woods, will star in the New York Musical Theatre Festival's Like Love.

Book and lyrics for the intimate tuner are by Barry Jay Kaplan, with a score by Lewis Flinn, who most recently supplied Broadway's The Little Dog Laughed with incidental music and is currently represented on television's "The Power of 10."

Like Love is simply described in production notes as "He meets She. He likes She. She likes He. They meet regularly for Great Sex, then Love enters the picture. Things get...complicated. Revisit love in all of its joys and sorrows in this fascinating, intimate three-hander with a sensual, jazz-influenced score."

The world premiere will also feature former High Fidelity cast members Emily Swallow and Jon Patrick Walker. Ferland is set to portray Love, with Walker and Swallow as He and She, respectively.

Lisa Rothe directs with a creative team including musical direction by Brad Simmons, set and lighting designs by Maruti Evans and costume design by Christina Bullard.

Like Love runs Sept. 20–Oct. 3 at TBG Theatre, located at 312 West 36th Street in Manhattan. Tickets are available by calling (212) 352-2101 or by visiting www.nymf.org.
