Opening is Jan. 19. Performances continue to March 8. According to Signature, "Three-time Helen Hayes Award-winner Holly Twyford portrays the brash, fast-talking agent Diane, whose client Mitchell (Matthew Montelongo) has a chance to make it big if he only stays in the closet. When Mitchell starts to fall for a charmingly sweet male escort (Ivan Quintanilla) with a needy girlfriend (Casie Platt), Diane's plans may unravel. But nothing derails this über-agent in her pursuit of power and money as she skillfully and hilariously manipulates all within her reach."
The Little Dog Laughed plays Signature's intimate 110-seat ARK Theatre. A hot-selling reconceived version of the musical Les Miserables is playing across the lobby in the MAX Theatre.
Michael Baron directs Little Dog. The creative team includes set designer Lee Savage, costume designer Guy Lee Bailey, lighting designer Mark Lanks and sound designer Matt Rowe.
Montelongo appeared in Broadway's recent The Ritz and Off-Broadway's God's Ear, Five Flights and more; Platt appeared in Signature's The Lieutenant of Inishmore and The Sex Habits of American Women; Quintanilla was in Rattlestick Theater's Acts of Mercy, Alliance Theatre's Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue and Paper Mill Playhouse's Pippin; Twyford won DC-area Helen Hayes Awards for Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Shape of Things.
