News Little House's McDaniel Will Be Luisa in Off-Broadway's Fantasticks Addi McDaniel, who played Gabriella in Disney's High School Musical at North Shore Music Theatre and was also seen in the world premiere of Little House on the Prairie at the Guthrie, will join the Off-Broadway cast of The Fantasticks June 29.

McDaniel will succeed Ramona Mallory in the role of Luisa. The production at the Snapple Theatre Center recently welcomed the return of Lewis Cleale (Monty Python's Spamalot) to the role of El Gallo. The cast also currently features Tom Flagg, Gene Jones, Michael Nostrand, Evy Ortiz, Steve Routman, Jonathan Schwartz, Douglas Ullman, Jr., John Thomas Waite and Scott Willis.

Featuring a score by Harvey Schmidt and book and lyrics by Tom Jones, The Fantasticks, according to press notes "is a captivating and simple love story about a boy, a girl, two fathers and a wall. The audience uses its imagination to follow El Gallo as he creates a world of moonlight and magic, and then pain and disillusionment, until the boy and girl find their way back to one other." Songs from the popular musical include "Try to Remember," "They Were You," "Much More," "Soon It's Gonna Rain" and "I Can See It."
