Entitled Red & Greene, performances are scheduled for Dec. 16 at 8 PM, Dec. 17 at 3 PM and 8 PM and Dec. 18 at 3 PM in Lisner Auditorium. Greene will be joined by musical director-pianist Christian Klikovits and cellist Stephen Erdody.

"Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, there’s no place like homo for the holidays," according to the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington. "Bold production numbers and glittering holiday songs from a Chorus of more than 250 men will make your days merry and bright."

Ellen Greene began her career as a nightclub singer, performing in the now closed New York cabaret Reno Sweeney. In her early 20s, Joseph Papp took her under his wing and cast her in productions of Boom Boom Room and The Threepenny Opera. Greene earned a Tony nomination for her work in the latter, but it was her role as Audrey in both the original stage and film productions of Little Shop of Horrors that brought her national attention. Among her recent theatrical credits are the London production of Betwixt!, the West Coast staging of Side Man and an all-star reading of Women Behind Bars. Her many screen credits include "Pushing Daisies," "Heroes," "The Cooler," "One Fine Day," "Léon," "Fathers & Sons," "Stepping Out," "Pump Up the Volume," "Talk Radio" and "Next Stop, Greenwich Village." Her solo recording is titled "In His Eyes." She also played Miss Adelaide in the Hollywood Bowl's presentation of the classic Frank Loesser musical Guys and Dolls.

Lisner Auditorium is located at 730 21st Street NW, Washington, DC. For ticket information visit www.gmcw.org.
