Live Out Loud, the nonprofit organization that dedicates its work to inspiring and empowering LGBTQ youth by connecting them with successful LGBTQ professionals in their community, will honor the four-time Tony Award-winning playwright at the April 28 Young Trailblazers Gala at the TimesCenter.

The annual event celebrates the revolutionary role of LGBTQ leaders in business, arts, politics, religion and culture.

Mothers and Sons stars Tyne Daly as a mother, still awash in grief and denial, who lost her son during the height of the AIDS crisis and returns to visit his former partner, who is now legally married and has an adopted child.

The compelling drama marks McNally's 20th Broadway production and the 50th anniversary of his Broadway debut. His others include Bad Habits; The Ritz; The Rink; Kiss of the Spider Woman; Love! Valour! Compassion!; Master Class; Ragtime; The Full Monty; and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. He is an Emmy Award winner for "Andre's Mother," a precursor to Mothers and Sons.
