News Living for Today Benefit to Include Paige Davis, Tituss Burgess and More Nancy Anderson, Paige Davis, Tituss Burgess and Carly Jibson will be part of the annual Living for Today benefit concert Oct. 24 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

The 2010 event will be composed entirely of show-stopping songs that conclude the first act of Broadway musicals. The 9:30 PM event is conceived and directed by David Alpert (The Intelligent Homosexual’s Guide, Cocaine: The Band) and has musical direction by Michael Postic.

In addition to Anderson (Wonderful Town), Davis (Sweet Charity), Burgess (Guys and Dolls) and Jibson (Hairspray), the concert will feature Kate Shindle (Legally Blonde), Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q), Graham Rowat (Guys and Dolls), Nikki Renee Daniels (Les Misérables), Jonathan Rayson (Little Shop of Horrors), Ben Cameron (Wicked) and Celina Carvajal (Toxic Avenger).

The Living for Today ensemble will include Jeffrey Paul Baker, Jana DeBusk, Heather Dolan, Justin Goodemoot, Martin Landry, Killian Patton, Cassandra Sandberg and Emily Zuzelski.

Living for Today was created in honor of the late Gilana Shira Alpert by her brother, David Alpert. The Gilana Shira Alpert Fund was established in 2007 following the loss of Alpert at the age of 26. The fund, which has raised over $17,000, supports organizations Gilana was passionate about, including  equality rights, sex education, theatre studies and Holocaust awareness.
