Sybil features book and lyrics by Owen Robertson and music by Alan Cancelino. Stephen Nachamie directs; Norman Stephens produces.

The cast will be headed by Tony nominee Liz Callaway (Baby, Miss Saigon) and Melissa van der Schyff (Bonnie & Clyde, Big River), who will be joined by Eadie Scott, Allison Linker, Michael David Brown, Alison Hyder, Cynthia Harrington and Sarah MacDonnell.

Based on the case history and best-selling book by Flora Rheta Schreiber, Sybil, according to press notes, "tells the true story of a woman with pronounced Disassociative Identity Disorder (multiple personalities) played by van der Schyff. Using a chorus of Sybil’s eight other 'selves' the show takes us on a musical journey from World War II Omaha, to 50’s and 60’s era New York City as she and her brilliant psychoanalyst, Cornelia Wilbur (Callaway) try to not only piece together the mysterious and traumatic reason for Sybil’s shattered psyche, but also the many faces, memories and colors of a lost young woman who simply wants to be normal."

The Provincetown Theatre is located at 238 Bradford Street, Provincetown, MA. For reservations for this free event, call (508) 487-7487 or log onto Provincetowntheater.org.
