Tony nominee Liz Callaway hosts the 7:30 PM evening that features five new musicals by promising writers for the theatre. In 2001 "Bound for Broadway" gave audiences their first tastes of the Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q and Musical of Musicals.

Among the performers scheduled to appear are Daniel S. Acquisto, Hunter Bell, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff, Stephen Bogardus, Christine Bokhour, Raymond Bokhour Jeff Bowen, Sammy Buck, Kevin Carolan, Nick Cearley, Jenn Colella, Vadim Feichtner, Santino Fontana, Adam Gwon, Thomas Hodges, Andrea Lepcio, Drew McVety, Patti Murin, Charlie Pollock, Larry Pressgrove, Tory Ross, Tim Rosser, Matthew Scott, Stephen Sislen, Jen Taher, Jeff Ward and Eric H. Weinberger.

Now. Here. This., which had a recent developmental run at the Vineyard Theatre, will feature author-performers Heidi Blickenstaff, Susan Blackwell, Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen, who wrote the piece along with Michael Berresse and Larry Pressgrove. The team also collaborated on the Broadway meta-musical [title of show].

The Vineyard engagement was billed as a "an original 'theatri-concert' that investigates and celebrates living in the present, featuring autobiographical stories, songs and a multi-piece band." The Boy Detective Fails, with music and lyrics by Ordinary Days composer Gwon, has a book by Joe Meno, based on his novel.

"After a childhood full of wonder, Billy Argo, boy detective, faces a mystery he can't comprehend: the shocking death of his younger sister and crime-solving partner, Caroline. Ten years later, 30-year-old Billy returns to his hometown determined to solve the mystery and right old wrongs — but what he discovers instead is a world full of unimaginable strangeness, beauty and love."

… And Then I Wrote a Song About It has a book by Eric H. Weinberger, music by Daniel S. Acquisto and lyrics by Sammy Buck. Cearley, who starred in the world premiere in 2010, will reprise his performance.

"Set to the rhythm of the disco era and beyond, this one-man musical tells the story of Randall Klausner, a perspiring singer/dancer/actor/songwriter/secretary on a quest for fame, love and acceptance in early 1980s New York."

Room 16 has a book by Andrea Lepcio, music and lyrics by Stephen Sislen and lyrics by Ben H. Winters.

"This fast-paced and darkly comedic look inside American political history tells the story of the unlikely friendship between G. Gordon Liddy and E. Howard Hunt, and the events surrounding the Watergate break-in of June 1972. The score spans American popular musical styles from swing and big band to folk and rock."

The Suicide has music by Simon Gray, lyrics by Raymond Bokhour, book by David Bridel and is adapted from the play by Nikolai Erdman. 

"In this wacky original musical comedy set in Stalin’s brutal Soviet Union, Semyon, an unemployed grumbler, becomes convinced that suicide is his ticket to fame and glory. Before long, friends and neighbors are plotting to exploit his impending death for fun and profit, and while they’re at it, topple an entire regime. The story is based on a 1928 farce by Nikolai Erdman. Stalin hated it, banned it and sent its author to a Siberian labor camp for 20 years."
