Liza ’79, an immersive theatrical experience created and directed by Ben Rimalower (Patti Issues, Leslie Kritzer Is Patti LuPone at Les Mouches), has postponed its upcoming summer engagement at Joe's Pub.
Larry Owens, who was scheduled to perform the piece at Joe's Pub June 11, 17, 18, 24 and July 2, has withdrawn from the project due to scheduling conflicts. New dates and casting will be announced at a later date.
Liza Minnelli's 1979 concert engagement at Carnegie Hall, where the Oscar winner sold out 11 shows, serves as the blueprint for the concert experience.
Liza ’79 features music direction and arrangements by Matt Aument and choreography by Jason Wise.
Zach Laks, Sarah Galli, and Joseph Lucius in association with Form Theatricals produce.
