Beginning Sept. 11, West will perform Thursday evenings at 8 PM (no performance Sept. 18) in the musical entertainment, which he conceived and wrote. The actor-singer-comedian offers more than 20 of the entertainment world's most "ridicule-ready celebrities"; theatregoers can expect to see "Liza Minnelli's Reality Show" and a "truly twisted Jerry Lewis telethon." Produced by Richard Robertson in association with The Theatre Company, the creative team for the limited engagement of Betty Ford comprises Fritz Masten Hasbrouck (costumes), Robert Strickland (musical arrangements), Carl Schmehl (production consultant) and Russ Trent (video).
An Atlanta native, Michael West spent two years at the Douglas Fairbanks in the hit revue When Pigs Fly. His other theatrical credits include the current edition of Forbidden Broadway as well as Whoop-Dee Doo and Mr. President. West was dubbed "Funniest Man in Atlanta" for his one-man show Michael West. . .Together at Last, which featured spoofs of Liza Minnelli, Jerry Lewis and Sammy Davis, Jr.
