Liza Minnelli appeared before Mexican audiences June 27, 28 and 29 at the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City. With Billy LaVorgna as musical conductor, Minnelli sang her all-time hits like "Cabaret" and "New York, New York".

As a tribute to her father, Vincente Minnelli, Liza sang "Gigi" and "Thank Heaven For Little Girls" which bacame "Thank Heaven for Little Boys", both from the film Gigi which was directed by the elder Minnelli.

Liza sang also "Sara Lee", "And the World Goes 'Round", "It Had To Be You" and "Embraceable You," the later she said was her parents' favorite song.

The surprise of the night was that Minnelli sang in Spanish Kander and Ebb´s "The Day After That" ("El Dia Despues") from Kiss of The Spider Woman.

Minnelli received a standing ovation at the end of the three concerts.
