The 1961 hit Broadway musical version of the film "Lili" (the libretto is by Michael Stewart) had a brief London run in 1963. Gower Champion's staging was recreated by his associate, Lucia Victor, and the cast included Sally Logan, Michael Maurel, Bob Harris, Shirley Sands, Francis de Wolff, Reg Lever and James Mitchell, recreating his Broadway role.

The score's most famous song may be "Love Makes the World Go 'Round."

It ran only 34 performances. According to Kritzerland, the London cast album features "a few little bits not found on the Broadway cast album."

This new re-release of the London cast recording of Carnival was mastered from the original album master tapes housed at EMI in the U.K.

Kritzerland notes that "some of the song titles are slightly different on the London recording and we've opted to use those so that we match the way they were listed on that original LP jacket."

This release is limited to 1,000 copies only. The price is $19.98 plus shipping.

The CD will ship by the first week of May, but pre-orders placed directly through Kritzerland usually ship one to five weeks earlier.
