News London Godot, with McKellen and Stewart, Extends to August The London production of Waiting for Godot, currently running at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket starring Ian McKellen as Estragon and Patrick Stewart as Vladimir, and featuring Simon Callow as Pozzo and Ronald Pickup as Lucky, has announced a two-week extension.

The production will now run to Aug. 9, instead of the previously announced July 26. Godot opened May 6, following previews from April 30.

The revival is staged by Sean Mathias as the first production in his tenure as artistic director of the 2009 Theatre Royal Haymarket Company. Mathias follows in the footsteps of Jonathan Kent, who directed three productions there, The Country Wife, The Sea and the musical Marguerite in 2007-08.

The production is designed by Stephen Brimson Lewis with lighting by Paul Pyant and sound by Paul Groothuis. Waiting for Godot is produced by the Theatre Royal Haymarket Company in partnership with Duncan C. Weldon Productions Ltd.

It will be followed by a new stage adaptation of Truman Capote's novella Breakfast at Tiffany's, beginning performances Sept. 9 (prior to an official opening Sept. 29), for a run to Jan. 9.
