International News London Heathers Finds Its Clique of Heathers The summer staging from The Other Palace stars Carrie Hope Fletcher.
T’Shan Williams

The upcoming London production of Heathers The Musical, set to play London’s Other Palace Theatre this summer, has found its complete cast. Jodie Steele (Wicked), T'Shan Williams (Caroline, or Change), and Sophie Isaacs will star as the show's infamous trio—the three Heathers.

They join previously announced Carrie Hope Fletcher (Les Misérables) as Veronica, the role played in the 1988 film by Winona Ryder. Completing the cast will be Jamie Muscato (Big Fish) as JD, Jenny O'Leary as Martha Dunnstock, Dominic Andersen as Ram Sweeney, Chris Chung as Kurt Kelly, and Rebecca Lock as Mrs. Fleming.

Performances of Heathers will run June 9–August 4.

The Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy musical, which premiered in Los Angeles before a 2014 Off-Broadway bow, played a developmental workshop, partially open to the public, at the Other Palace last year.

The musical follows Veronica Sawyer, a high school girl who is taken under the wings of the school's vicious clique: the Heathers. When mysterious new kid JD arrives, however, he and Veronica team up to put an end to their bullying—at whatever cost.

The production, directed by Andy Fickman and choreographed by Gary Lloyd, will feature sets and costumes by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Dan Samson, and casting by Will Burton. Gary Hickeson will be music supervisor.
