News London's Almeida Announces Full Casting for King Lear; Jonathan Pryce Stars London's Almeida Theatre has announced full casting for its production of King Lear that begins performances Aug. 31, prior to an official opening Sept. 11.

Joining the previously announced Jonathan Pryce in the title role are Kieran Bew (Edmund), Michael Byrne (Fool), Steven Elliott (Oswald), Phoebe Fox (Cordelia), Ian Gelder (Kent), Richard Goulding (Edgar), Richard Hope (Albany), Jenny Jules (Regan), Barry McCarthy (Lear’s Loyal Servant), Chook Sibtain (Cornwall), Zoe Waites (Goneril), Clive Wood (Gloucester) and Alix Wilton Regan (Gloucester’s Loyal Servant).

The production is directed by the Almeida's artistic director Michael Attenborough, with designs by Tom Scutt, lighting by Jon Clark and sound and music by Dan Jones. The Almeida's production is part of the World Shakespeare Festival.
