London Theatre Company will open a second theatre in London's King’s Cross neighborhood. The 600-seat venue will be modeled after the company's Bridge Theatre located on the riverfront, which opened in 2017.

The new theatre is a join venture from London Theatre Company and King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership (KCCLP). The venue will be situated on Lewis Cubitt Square and will feature design by Stirling Prize-winning Haworth Tompkins Architects in collaboration with TAIT.

The 600-seat theatre will include a flexible auditorium and an active foyer with a café and bar. The building is currently under construction and the new King’s Cross theatre is scheduled to open in winter 2021.

“We’ve been delighted with the welcome the Bridge has received, and with the intimacy, comfort and adaptability of Haworth Tompkins’/Tait auditorium," say London Theatre Company's Nicholas Hytner and Nick Starr (who founded The Bridge after 12 years at The National. "We’re looking forward to joining the vibrant King’s Cross neighborhood in a few years’ time.”
