News London's Les Misérables Welcomes New Principal Cast June 23 Major cast changes take effect in the original London production of Les Misérables at the Queen's Theatre beginning June 23.

The new principals include Earl Carpenter (recently seen in the title role of The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's), as Javert, Allyson Brown (TV's "Bear Behaving Badly," "EastEnders" and "Holby City," and recently seen with the RSC) as Fantine, Jon Robyns (original London cast of Avenue Q, where he played Princeton and Rod) as Marius, David Thaxton (previously seen in Les Misérables when it first transferred to the Queen's Theatre) as Enjolras, Jimmy Johnston (twice Olivier-nominated for performances in The Pirates of Penzance at the Open Air Theatre, Regent's Park and in Trevor Nunn's National Theatre revival of Oklahoma! that subsequently transferred to the West End) as Thénardier, Jackie Marks (who has previously played Fantine in this production, and was more recently seen in Evita at the Adelphi) as Madame Thénardier, Nancy Sullivan (seen in the BBC1 reality TV casting program "I’d Do Anything" as a contender to play Nancy) as Eponine and Leanne Dobinson (one of the top ten finalists of "I'd Do Anything") as Cosette. Drew Sarich continues in the show as Jean Valjean.

The record-breaking run of Les Miserables is now in its 23rd year, having surpassed the 21-year record previously held by Cats to be the longest-running show in the West End in October 2006.
