Diva Maria Friedman — who has starred in the London productions of Chicago, Passion and The Witches of Eastwick — will perform at the New Ambassadors for a week beginning April 22. Her show, at 9 PM, will follow performances of The Vagina Monologues and will feature a selection of her favorite songs by composers such as Gershwin and Sondheim, the latter being a specialty of hers.
Described by The Spectator as "far and away the best singer of her generation," Miss Friedman has a large West End following, and the show is expected to sell out.
