News Lonny Price to Direct Free Moss Hart Tribute Lonny Price, who directed and starred in Broadway's A Class Act, will helm an upcoming tribute to the late playwright Moss Hart.

Entitled Moss Hart: A Centennial Tribute, the salute is being presented by the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in collaboration with Lincoln Center Theater. The Oct. 18 evening will be held at the Library at 6:30 PM and will feature an interview with Moss' widow, Kitty Carlisle Hart, who will be interviewed by author Foster Hirsch. The celebration will also include reminiscences by Anne Kaufman Schneider and actress Paula Laurence. And, Richard Easton, David Harbour, Jan Maxwell, Jeremy Shamos and Sloane Shelton will participate in readings of Moss Hart works. Among the works to be featured are scenes from Christopher Blake, Light Up the Sky, Lady in the Dark, Winged Victory and Merrily We Roll Along.

There is no charge for the tribute, although tickets are required. They will be distributed at 4:30 PM on the day of the program at the Library's entrance. The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts is located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue, south of 65th Street. For more information call (212) 642-0142.
