The world premiere of Stacie Chaiken's Looking for Louie will take place Aug. 11 at the Pacific Resident Theatre, 707 Venice Blvd., directed by Clare Carey and produced by Judith Scott. The run is through Sept. 3.Chaiken's play is about ninety years of well kept family secrets. The silence motivates a Jewish-American girl's determined search for the truth about her mysterious great-grandfather. The desire to uncover roots--and a man "you don't wanna know"--leads the girl on an unwitting journey to try and heal the shame and rage of generations.
