On Tuesday at the Broadhurst Theatre, a new musical opened described as “a love that could live literally forever”….and we asked ourselves! Isn’t that how any Broadway-Baby would describe their feelings for the Great White Way?....and especially on a gorgeous Spring night when a fairy tale like Tuck Everlasting premiered with the stars turning out to celebrate in droves!
I just want to add a little postscript here and say thank you to all the folks in the show business community who’ve been coming out to celebrate and support the new season of openings! Many of you have been out nearly nightly, loving our brothers and sisters on the stage and showing the world that theatre is still a special bond between audiences and actors! A bond that goes back thousands of years and is that special “living” kind of performance! It’s great seeing you standing in the house, your eyes sparkling at the magic, just like when you were kids and saw your first play! I applaud you all! #andScene!
